We love photographing weddings for a whole host of reasons — mainly that its generally one of the happiest days of people’s lives. Nowhere is this more evident than the dance floor when everyone has lost all inhibition and started to feel all warm and celebratory! Sarah + Adam are the greatest! What a beautiful and authentic weekend we had with them in Cashiers late last fall. High Hampton Inn, again, is incredible. Amazing people and beautiful mountains in our beloved western NC. Cheers!

What an incredible time we had with Anna + Akshay at BRONX ZOO last fall! Akshay works at foursquare and Anna had resisted joining for the longest time until just before the wedding when she asked him to be her friend and subsequently checked in at the zoo before he did…amazing. These guys are just spectacular and wonderfully in love. Anna is an editor and has been writing a few columns over at Brides.com about her wedding experience (both before and after) — you should definitely take a peek..here’s a link to her first post-wedding write-up! First off, let me give credit where credit is clearly due. Our good buddy, the incomparable Sarah Der, stepped up in place of Whitney (who it turns out was merely hours away from giving birth to this little booger once I got home!) to shoot this one with me. A good mix of these photographs are hers and, as usual, she totally nailed it. You probably remember Christina + Andrew from earlier this year..well, they’re still awesome and we couldn’t be happier for them. We rarely ever shoot at the same places, it just keeps things fresh for us — but we always make an exception for Claxton Farm…they’re just the best and its so awesome up there in Weaverville. Special thanks to Christine Andrews for keeping things clicking all day! All was right!
